my house is pretty clean. Sometimes I watch wife swap and I cant believe how some people live with animal crap on their floor and food in their bathtubs I could go on.... so If your house is cleaner then roaches consider yourself luckier then some of these other people...YUCK!

sadly we are at my dads
when we had our condo it wasn't in tip top shape
but nothing i would have een embarrassed about
unless they walked into our bedroom and saw how my DH likes to use his side of the bed as a laundry bin

right now we have a sheet on the couch from eating there, the guest room has laundry all over and the office is a mess. yes, id be a little embarrassed

i wouldnt be embarassed.
but they most definintely would not be impressed
i'm not anal, we have clutter, but not Dirtiness.... and seriously, i'm only home for about 2 hours a night before i go to sleep, and in that time, i need to study, shower, and try to spend some 'quality time' with DH... so the apartment gets put on the backburner.
I do have to say though- DH has been doing an awesome job keeping this place in order in my absense. he says he thinks i 'overdomesticated' him

right now my house is pretty clean but a few weeks ago I had a situation where I had to have a friend that has a spare key go into my house unexpectedly and I was so embarrassed because my house was such a mess, my underwear was on the floor things were everywhere. To my credit though it was the day of my sons 1st bday party at my inlaws house. The night before I had soo much planning stuff to get done that I was so frantic I wasnt being at all tidy.
I would say that Im a messy person that cleans all the time. I dont put things away right away so Im always doing the big clean every day.

I'm running around cleaning now because I have family coming over tomorrow. I always say that I'm going to keep the house neat all the time but that never lasts long

if you asked me this earlier this week, i'd have said yes. but we finally broke down and got a cleaning lady this week and it's HEAVEN. its so clean and now i want to keep it like this always.

The only thing "messy" is Ryan's toys- (if he is up-and they are out) and I wouldnt even call that a mess.
