If ur DC was tested for food allergies

what foods did they test for? Is it a standard panel of items?

We knew my son had a milk protein allergy but suspected he was allergic to all dairy, so I insisted on allergy testing. Our pediatrician sent my son for a RAST allergy panel and indicated that he wanted to see the results for food and environmental allergies. I'm not sure what all they test for, dairy came back severe and the rest weren't outside the normal parameters. I did ask specifically about the peanut results and he said they weren't tested, which shocked me since that is a common one these days.

We then went to an allergist who did skin tests in her office. Based on my son's blood test results and his symptoms - severe eczema and ulcerative colitis - she tested for about 6 things (milk, soy, certain fish, some environmental stuff, I can't remember them all at this point) and I asked for her to test peanut to put my mind at ease.
