If you and DH work full time...What do you do with your kids before and after school?

So i'm in a bit of a stressful situation. We recently took on DH's 2 school aged children (6 and 8) along with our own son who is 8 months.
my problem is school. once we put them in our district i need to get them to and from school. i called our districts aftercare/morning care program but they are full!

we need someone to stay with the kids from 7-9am and put them on the bus and then be there when they get off til we get home, 3-5:30.

what do you do with your children? we already pay for a sitter for my 8 month old (he goes to her house) so we're tight on money.

ETA: those who ask around, how do you go about this? i thought about asking neighbors but how do i question them without making them feel obligated or feel bad saying no. not sure how to apporach the situation

i think some districts have before and after care. i dont know for sure though. maybe ask a neighbor with school aged kids?

I would approach asking by acting as if you are asking if they know anyone who is interested in babysitting those hours or if they can be on the look out for someone who's interested, so that way they don't feel obligated and they can speak up if are interested. Ask neighbors, friends, staff at the pediatrician's office, etc.

Maybe find a Reliable local college student who has class during the day? This is still probably going to cost you $40-$50 a day but it is going to be hard to find something less expensive.

is your baby sitter in your school disrtict? If so i am pretty sure you can arrange for the kids to get pickeup and dropped off there instead of you house. Maybe she will be willing to do it if you pay her a little more.

Our district has SCOPE for before and after care. In addition there is a Tutor Times our district will bus to and from. Do you have anything like that? Maybe ask at the school if they know any sitters?
