Sounds awesome, but 1 question - do the busses have car seats? I've never taken DD on a bus before.
no...not needed..they sat in my lap or in their own seat - they are just like NYC buses! (this goes for the bus to and from airport and the ones that take you around the park)

Re: If you have been to Disney world -where did you stay? need a hotel that is not overpriced
Another vote for Pop Century. All the rooms were just recently redone within the last year. It's clean, modern, the food court area is great. I would get a non- preferred room and request one of the 70's buildings closest to the bus stop, top floor.
I personally would not stay at an All Stars resort. I think it's the movies resort that has never been refurbished so it's really getting run down. The life size characters are neat though, and kids do seem to really like them. They also share a bus between the three resorts, whereas Pop Century only has one.

We always stay on Disney but in the Value resorts. Love them...clean decent sized rooms, buses to Disney and free shuttle to and from airport.
I did this once and HATED it. I'd rather stay at the Best Western on Orange Blossom Trail (done that too)
I've been a few times and I'm going back again in Oct. I'm staying at Port Orleans - French Quarter. Moderate priced. Small property so I'm not walking a million miles to the bus (like I did at Pop) and its on the river (so its somehow cooler), the boat ride is the downtown disney (which is a nice ride and downtown disney not a park so its more relaxed for us) also the first stop on and off of the buses to and from the parks as well. Love ground transportation from Disney to the hotel and our stuff is in our room. I stay on campus for the meal plan, lack of paying for parking and ease of travel (Sending your trinkets back to your room instead of lugging them around at the parks).
ETA: We are staying 6days and 5nights, we got an upgrade on our room to face the river (for AJ), we upgraded our meal plan for a sit down, quick serve and snack, got tickets for all days we are there, and AJ is free (under 3) its costing us around $2100.
Wow that's an amazing price! Who did you book thru? I'm looking at 4 nights 5 days end of Sept beginning of Oce for over $5000!!!!!!

that seems awfully high. What resort is that for and how many people? If you go on the disney site directly you can price it out. Click on special offers and the deals come up. If you are only going for 4 days I wouldn't bother getting hopper tickets, just do the one park per day tix.

I booked direct with Disney.. Again I did two upgrades AND we are paying for the Not-so-scary Halloween tickets
ETA: go online and play with making your own trip. I did that, then called it in. Again i upgrade TWO things.. my room and my food. I believe I need to down grade my tickets because I won't really need hoppers.

It's for 2 adults and 2 kids... Dolphin 4800 Caribbean 4800 Coronado 4800 Polynesian 4800 Contemporary 5500
That was on Southwest which was cheaper than Disney...it's for one park a day tix and meal plan.
