If you have been to Vegas recently, what hotel did you stay in and
would you recommend it? I am researching prices and it does not seem to me like you can get a great deal. I have airfare credits so I'm just looking into hotels. Planning to go in October.

Paris. Gorgeous, loved it. Also the location is the middle of the strip so I felt like we had great access to other hotels as well.

We stayed at the Luxor. It was nice, nothing special, the rroms were very clean, that's all I cared about. We got a great deal for New Years - I kept checking the rates even after I booked it and when it went down I called and they adjusted the rate for me.

We go to Vegas twice a year and usually stay either Palazzo, Venetian, Mirage or Encore! They comp pretty well. I will say though, Sept and Oct are usually a little more pricy because the weather is gorgeous then...hot, but not like the summer months! Go to broadwaybox.com and click on Las Vegas, you will see many hotel deals!

I stayed at the Vdara back in January. Its brand new but i didn't really like it. Its more for people who are there on business.

We are looking to go at the end of September beginning of October. I haven't been able to find great deals either. I think it may be the airfare that is so much. We have stayed at The Luxor and The Mirage and we really liked both of them. Trying to find a hotel somewhere in the middle this time. Good luck!

agree with all. also at paris we had awesome views of the bellagio. that was one of the best parts.
we also stayed at mirage and it was okay. do not recommend excalibur at all. it was outdated and gross.

i agree. paris is beautiful. we had booked a regular hotel room, and bc there were no more non-smoking rooms left, they upgraded us to one of their pretty red rooms for free. and yes, amazing views of the bellagio fountains! good location too.

We stayed here too....BEAUTIFUL! A covered walkway to the MGM, and then you're right on the strip...but when you go back to your room - Serenity!!
We booked through VRBO.com (vacation rentals by owner)...GREAT price!!

I've stayed at a ton of hotels - Mirage, Tropicana, Bellagio, Monte Carlo, MGM, Ballys, Excalibur, Mandalay Bay and last month we were at Flamingo. Vegas is super cheap right now so I'm surprised you aren't finding deals.

I was just there for work and stayed in the HIlton which I do NOT recommend. In the past I've stayed in the Mandalay Bay, New York, NY, Monte Carlo, Paris and the Mirage. My favorite was Paris (great location) and then Mandelay Bay.

We stayed at MGM Grand... 3 couples - about 5 years ago...
Anyway, when we checked in, I asked if they had any flyers of things to do (like most hotels do) she said no, but I can comp your dinner for your party at the buffet... $150 worth of food b/c they didn't have brochuers!
