I pay the statement balance every month (so in your case, the $100).
Anything charged but not yet billed waits until next statement, with NO interest, so I have no reason to pay it off. Interest free money for a month!

I pay whatever is on the statement, and happily wait for my most recent purchases to show up almost a month later.
