Don't beat yourself up about it. You are not a baby mommy at all. It happens. If you didn't love Ethan you wouldn't have called the doctor and gone in.

Oh No you are NOT a bad mommy at all!! It is a very common child accident. It happens frequently which is why they suggest that parents not swing kids by the arms b.c it is a common problem.
Awww I hope he feels better soon.

Please don't do that to yourself! You didn't intentionally pull his arm out of his socket! My DD dislocated her elbow and I had no clue how, it's actually very common in toddler to dislocate their arm.

It does sound like nursemaid's elbow - it has happened more than 3 times with my oldest!! I know the feeling - the first time it happened we didn't know what happened - she wasn't using her arm/ shoulder because she was in lots of pain - my daughter apparently is very sensitive and it can reoccur easily - the peditrician and emergency room said it is very common with some children and she will grow out of it -

You are not the worst mommy. Far from it. I haven't been on to much, but I have seen your posts and how much you love your son.
I actually thought I did something like this to Gavin a couple of weeks ago. I was changing him and of course he HATES being changed and I was trying to hold him down to get the diaper on and I heard something crack. He was totally fine, but it scared me.
I actually stopped and put him down on the floor and let him hang out in his 'birthday' suit for a while.

Na your not, DH did the same thing to Julia's arm when he was trying to change her (she was 2 at the time) and we had to take her to the Dr to pop it back in, its amazing how they feel like nothing happened once the Dr did that, she was back to playing again.
Its very common at there age for this to happen, just becareful not to pull on his arm, cause its much easier now to pop back out again!
