If you were to move off of Long Island
Where would you move to? And if you don't live on Long Island, do you like where you live? Thanks

Re: If you were to move off of Long Island
As far South as possible. A place with no snow and where pools are open year round. No fall, no boots, no jackets, sweaters, coats, winter etc. I basically want to celebrate Christmas with a bbq by tbe pool!

Re: If you were to move off of Long Island
I moved to Chicago to be with DH in 2001...been here ever since. I LOVE the city...but hate where we live. The neighborhood is still "up and coming" so there is still some riff raff hanging around. Other than that...I live 2 blocks from Lake Michigan...love that :)

North Carolina. Warmer than LI, but not as hot as Georgia. Far enough north to avoid most hurricanes. Still close to all of the NY stuff.

Love Chicago. I went to DePaul and stayed a year after there. I miss it!

I live in Manhattan. Love it! Been here since 1997. If we were to move it would be over seas. London or possible Bangalore.

If you were to move off of Long Island
I would move to San Diego if I could. But it's 6 of 1, half dozen of the other compared to NY.

Re: If you were to move off of Long Island
i'm in Maryland and I love it. NEVER EVER thought i could or would live anywhere but NY, but I adore MD.
I'm right near DC, annapolis (beautiful little town on the water), baltimore etc..
And I'm only 4 hours door to door to my moms in long beach. Its great :)

California... San Diego or LA
or
England, French countryside or central Italy.
Places where the cost of living isn't any better but I think my quality of life would be.

If you were to move off of Long Island
Delaware. I went to college there and really liked it. Plus no sales tax!
ETA: Or Florida - Space Coast area. Most of DH's family is there and I love it there.
DH would never leave NY though.
