I would LOVE somewhere that is colder, more fall like for longer over heat. I could do without ever having summer again!
I've always had a thing for the New England states, particularly Massachusetts. I would also consider a suburb of Chicago or Seattle. I would NEVER want to go further south. I lived in FL once for a four years and I hated every single second of it. Cold, crisp, rainy, snowy weather suits me much better than heat and humidity!
ETA - If I wasn't upside down in my mortgage I would sell my house and move tomorrow. I am aching for a change of pace, change of lifestyle. I am tired of LI..........it's expensive, it's insanely crowded, the traffic is nuts. I would love someplace a little slower paced, more scenic, really family friendly. Who knows, maybe one day!
