if your formal dining room is where you always eat...
how do you protect your table and chairs from your kids without making it into a museum/grandma style room?! i don't want to spend all this money on a new set and just through plastic over everything!!

We usually eat on fold out tables in front of the TV.  
We have a beautiful dining room that collects dust.  We ordered a custom made cover for the table that stays on it. It was close to $300 but so worth it bc it saves the table. I am thinking about switching it out for a glass top tho.

I had a glass cover made for the dining room table. It was less than $200 and I love it! You can see the beautiful table, but I am not worried about it getting damaged and clean up is super easy with windex.

We have a class cover on our table, and I also ordered some of those water resistant tableclothes that look like regular fabric. The drinks seriously bead up on it and you can shake it off outside. And they were cheap too (maybe $20 on overstock)
