I'm going to join the "I hate BRU" club
I always see you ladies complaining about BRU and never understood.
I'm annoyed with them on so many levels. I regret registering with JUST them. Why didn't I register at BBB?!?!?
The customer service is just horrific! The people at the store are just rude and couldn't care less if they helped you or not. I learned we can't use the 10% completion coupon for items if they were added less than 3 weeks before your expected date. There are items that I know have been bought (we already got them mailed to us) that are still showing up as unbought on my registry. Also, I mentioned that I have never received anything from them in the mail even though I joined their mailing list MONTHS ago. The girl said it's because my cell number doesn't match our mailing address. She said I won't receive mail that way. We don't have a land line, just cell phones. Both DH and I have Boston cell phone numbers because we went to college/grad school there. Grrr..
I've also heard about girls complaining about their return policy. I am sure I will have more fun with them later.

They absolutely su ck! Their customer service does not exist and it doesn't matter where your BRU is- mine is in CA- the land of "how are you feeling" and "let me get that for you" every time I walk out the door. They just don't care. I have waited in line there for over 20 minutes with two people in front of me.
I wish we had another option out here. But other than exclusive boutiques that charge a fortune or Target, I really have no choice but to shop there.

 is it really that bad? i havent started registering yet but maybe i will only go with BBB! or BBB and target?

while the lines are sometimes bad when i go there, the employees are always very nice & give you coupons for future visits.... i haven't tried to return anything yet though...but i've never been dissatisfied...

I always liked BBB better but I picked BRU because I have a lot of out of state friends. BBB only has 8 stores total in just NY and NJ. I was being lazy and didn't want to keep track of 2 registries so I just went with BRU. I'd recommend doing both BBB and BRU and maybe one higher end one like Pottery Barn.
I had a lot of difficulty adding items towards the end and wished I had registered at another store.

I haven't registered yet but in the past I have purchased gifts off of a registry from BRU. Each time, even though the registry was mentioned at check-out I had to call them to ask them to remove the item.

Just a thought.... can you edit your expected date online? maybe you can push it 3 weeks out

I think their return policy sucks. They will not take returns for items (with a receipt) past a 90 day period.
So, if you are planning on storing away certian things for your DC check them out first, make sure nothing is missing, nothing is bent, and that they work. If something is wrong with it and 3 months have past you're stuck with it!
The only reason why I didn't register at BBB is because they are more expensive with their items. As far as target I didn't feel like they had a huge selection for certain things.

I did find certain things to be cheaper at BBB like car seats and you can also use the Bed Bath & Beyond coupon there too!

Sorry that's ahppening to you- I have never had a problem with them- so far- and DH and I have only cell numbers as well- and have received mail so not sure why that is a problem???
