I just read your update post.
Please don't be overly worried about a gene problem. There are SO SO SO Many reasons mc happen... and A LOT of the time it's a fluke!!
Even chromosomal situations can be a fluke, so it doesn't necessarily mean you are a carrier.
Also, you get the genetic testing on the baby if you go the DNC route. Then you can get genetic testing on yourself and even DH if you want to and only need that done once in your life. It will tell you if you are a carrier of certain things and what the probability is. A lot of times you both would have to be a carrier for the issue to surface in the baby.
I had a Trisomy 21 from my mc back in Jan. I just had the genetic testing done on Tuesday so I don't have my results back yet... and I'm not sure if I'm a carrier or if it was a fluke but when they do the DNC genetic testing they tell you the percentage of liklihood it would have happened (I think mine was 1 out of 10,000 or something). But I can't be all upset over something I can't control. And even if you are a carrier there's still a change your future pregnancies and children will not be affected.
Basically what I'm trying to say here is, please don't be too upset over a what if, when you don't know anything yet.
MC in the first trimester is VERY common, it doesn't necessarily indicate any sort of problem.
Focus on your loss and the healing aspect and deal with the genetics when that time arises.
