I'm Really & Truly Confused....(baby sleeping situation)
okay so.....here's the situation....and i'm sorry it's so long - but i'm at a loss!
we live in a 2 bedroom apartment. the baby's room is at the other end of the apartment (we have the 2nd floor of a duplex - so it's NOT nearby)....for the first few months, until we move her into a crib - i will NOT be okay with her being in her own room....
i had WANTED to get a co-sleeper (holds up to 30 pounds) and put it in our bedroom. we registered for a pack n play and i just noticed that it can hold to 30 pounds too (we got this at our shower).
would we be silly to get the co-sleeper too??
if we DO use the pack n play for to sleep in - in our bedroom.....it won't really be portable to go to the living room for 'during the day activity' - since it's larger - and once it's in the space we intend it to be - getting it out will be a BEAR!!!
I also found this - should we maybe either have her sleep in THIS in the bedroom and use the pack n play in the living room or vice versa (use this in the living room for during the day and nightime in the pack n play)??? (this item only holds to 15 pounds)

Since you live in an apartment that is one level, I would stick with the Pack n play. You will get more use out of it and it is one less thing to store. If you were in a bi-level home I would say keep the co-sleeper in your room and the pack-n-play on your main level so it is easier for diaper changes and naps when they are newborns. If you are unsure still, you can barrow the bassinet that I have. It is similar to the one you posted. My DS was in it until 3 months and DD until 2 months. Once they started to move around more they were waking themselves up and that is when I moved them into the crib.

Jess.... that is what we did.. we leave the pack and play for daytime naps and changings and activities... then basinnet you posted is the one we have!!! Its great, and I expect to put her in her own room before she hits 15 lbs... its convenient right now since she doesnt sleep through the night, but when I go back to work, I plan to transition her to her crib....
I would go with the last option.. I love having the pack and play in a room for her to nap in... of course its downstairs in my house, so its REALLY convenient!
