WOW - scary to think that they weren't going to culture the boils.

OMG your second update is frightening!! The ped put him on medication that is ineffective???  Your son is so lucky to have such a diligent mom like you. that he gets well soon.

It's pathetic. I should have switched doctors a long time ago. You shouldn't have to second guess what your doctor is telling you.

I don't understand doctors sometimes! Imagine if you had been more passive and just went with whatever they told you to do!
I am glad you finally got to the bottom of it! Thank goodness for mother's instinct!!!

OMG! I hope your DS is doing ok. Good thing you were persistent.
I have a question though. What did the boil look like? Now, I don't want to sound like a hypochondriac, but DD had a scab thing on her elbow and then it fell off and went away. Then, I noticed a pimple/boil-like thing on her thigh that has now scabbed. I just asked at daycare if they knew what it was. now I got to go google MRSA. ARGH!
