I'm sure everyone here is feeling this way....
my miscarriage was over a year ago.....didn't think it would affect me like it is this weekend, but this would have been my first mother's day since my due date was August 09.
and how hard is it for everyone else to see all the facebook posts to "mom's"? I feel cheated b/c I *should* be one right now! uggh its hard, I just keep telling myself our time will come soon and I'll forget days like this and I won't be so bitter that my close brush with parenthood ended so quickly.
hugs to everyone on this board, this weekend is by far the most difficult of the year for anyone who's suffered a miscarriage

It def is hard the first Mother's Day after a loss. I hope next Mother's Day we will all have Little Ones in our Arms!!!

Same here...to put it bluntly, today just sucks...I'm just trying to keep busy and pretend it's just another day...
Hopefully next year will be better

Today should have been my first mother's day too. I had been pretty down all week, but today I'm just trying to stay focused on my mom and MIL. It will be hard to see SIL later, b/c she is celebrating her first mother's day. I love my niece dearly, of course, but I still can't help feeling sad and a little envious.
I hope we all have babies of our own by this time next year.

I feel like crap!! hahah so I just went to the mall and bought myself a bunch of feel sorry for myself gifts. I am not going to go on facebook today because I know all of the posts that will be on my friends walls.. I figure I will take a ride to the beach before I head to my Mom's and then cozy up with DH later on tonight....Next year we will all be Moms or soon to be...I hope everyone else feels better!!

Totally understand. 
This would have been my first Mother's Day as well. I am ignoring FB for today and I enjoyed the day at the public baths here (I'm overseas, so I just made it a vacation day and DH and I did something new since we just moved here 4 months ago; I didn't totally enjoy it, KWIM?).
The thing that keeps me going is next year just may be better.

Hi Lisa, I think we miscarried around the same time last year (mine was in January). hope you're doing ok, and I hope 2011 will be good to both of us in the baby department!!

I hope the same for you! We haven't been trying b/c we just aren't ready, but I see hope for next year- maybe.
