Immersion Blender?
Has anyone used an immersion blender with a stainless steel shaft ON stainless steel pots?
I have one and I'm terrified I'm going to scratch my pots...but I'm finding so many good soup recipes I want to try! I know I could probably lug out the big ol' blender but the whole point of getting the immersion blender was to use it for these types of soups.

Re: Immersion Blender?
All the time! If the liquid in the pot is deep enough, I tilt it up just a little bit so the blender isn't flush against the bottom. That can help with hot air pockets as well. Also, I don't just move it around in the pot. I put it down, blend in one spot, and then move it to a new spot. Once it's mostly blended it will move around much more easily.

Re: Immersion Blender?
Just please please PLEASE always unplug it before ever going near the blade! And I mean even detaching it apart!
A few years ago I badly cut 2 fingers & luckily only needed 2 stitches & didn't lose my nail or more!
