Implantation issues? And other question...
How do you know if there are problems with just implantation?
Are there tests that can be done for that?
Also, what are the different problems that there could be? Is there more testing I should have done? We know my egg equality is good, DH's sperm is good, and our embryos are good quality. What else can it be besides implantation?
TIA

No... what does that tell you?
I did have a HSG and mock transfer though.. not sure if that is related at all.

Re: Implantation issues? And other question...
I had a uterine polyp that "may" have been causing us issues with implantation. They confirmed that I did have a polyp when I went for my HCG and I had it surgically removed. I also was told that egg quality can affect implantation, though I know you said that it wasn't an issue.

You probably covered the bases with those things. I didn't do an HSG, just a water sono. They just push saline into your uterus to see if anything in there could prevent implantation.

If you had an HSG, you would probably not need a water sono. The HSG detects polyps, fibroids, etc. just like the water sono does, only different methods.

Re: Implantation issues? And other question...
SIRM does immunity testing and some immunity issues can hinder implantation. I tested postivive for 2 immunity issues and one of them related to implantation! I take baby aspirin and lovenox as well as prednisone for the immunity issues.
Not all clinics believe in the immunity testing but I do.

Unfortunately, she lives OOS. But you could always mention it to your doc Hayley!

I thought I remembered her saying she lives in CA? Dr Beer's clinic is there and SIRM has clinics throughout the US-check their website-that is where I would head in your situation. If all else fails look at the immune system. Good luck.

I have a book on infertility that also says failure to implant could be a result of immunity issues. According to my book there are several different autoimmune fertility disorders related to clotting issues, antibodies, thyroid, and the uterine lining. HTH!

Re: Implantation issues? And other question...
Thank you so much everyone!
Okay so maybe that testing will be our next step.
Do you think a lap or endometrial biopsy would be necessary?
Does anyone have any clue about how much all of these things cost (we are now all OOP)?

I was going to suggest endo biopsy and water sono.

Re: Implantation issues? And other question...
Many embies do not emplant because of chromosomal abnormalities. I know PGD is expensive, and now that I have had time to reflect, I realize that without it, I would have wound up freezing over ten embies that either would have miscarried or not implanted
