Infant moving a lot when sleeping

I just went back to work last week and am still trying to figure out somewhat of a "routine" with DD (3 months) before I leave. The past 2 days she started moving around/waking up around 5:30 so I fed her and put her back in the bassinet and she fell back asleep. This morning she started moving around about 4-4:30. Her eyes were closed the whole time, she would move her head back and forth sometimes kick her legs around and then sleep. This went on for what felt like at least an hour. If she's doing this, is she sleeping? Is she hungry? I'd rather not feed her at 4:30 if she doesn't need it because then she'll be hungry right after I leave for work but I don't know with all this movement if she's just moving a lot in her sleep or hungry. (She doesn't really move in her sleep too much during the night)

3 months is still super, super young. Things will change about 320984234 more times in the next few months. Also at 3 months, babies are starting to "wake up" and become more generally alert, along with increased muscle tone, so the ability to more easily start moving around. Basically all I'm saying is that this is totally normal.

If your baby is moving around, but not crying, upset, or in an unsafe position, I'd leave her alone.

My older one did that in the bassinet. She would yeah around and kick her legs nonstop in the early mornings. We move her to the crib so she didn't keep waking us up and she slept great in there.

My DD is 11 weeks and she does that sometimes. I leave her until she opens her eyes and seems awake. I've found she eventually stretches out her sleep and it becomes more sound.
