Injectables vs Clomid
Since I produce plenty of follies on Clomid, if I don't get pregnant on IUI's and clomid is there any benefit on moving to injectables and IUI rather just straight to IVF after 3 IUI cycles?
We are dealing with MF IF.

Injectables vs Clomid
I asked the same question when I was doing IUI's...I had 2 different RE's tell me different things...one said that if the clomid/femara works there is no need to move onto injectables then the other said that I may produce better quality embryos on injectables...I did not move onto injectables but did 6 IUI cycles with clomid/femara...we are unexplained IF

This is sort of what my dr eluded to, and what I would like to do as well.
But she said we will discuss it after 3 cycles on Clomid. Hurry up and wait is my motto apparently.

Re: Injectables vs Clomid
i've heard the same thing, that you may produce better quality follies on injectibles.
I did 3 cylces of clomid, got 2 - 4 follies each cycle. I'm doing injectibles now, and have one good one, and possibly one more.
I'm only doing injectibles because my insurance company requires 3 IUI rounds of clomid, then 3 injectibles rounds of IUI before authorizing IVF. otherwise, I had every intention of moving on to IVF.
good luck

Re: Injectables vs Clomid
I had a better quality ovulation, and probably better quality follies, using injectables than when I was on clomid.
But are you dealing strictly with MFI?

As far as we know it is strictly MFI. All my tests have come back okay so far. This is my main reason that after 3 IUI's I really think I want to move on. I know IVF is so much more mentally and physically, but IUI's I feel defeated before I even do them.

Well, if you have enough quality, mobile sperm (5m+) then IUIs can work for you and I'd try 1-2 cycles of injectables. Otherwise, I understand wanting to move onto IVF. This is something you should discuss with your RE and your husband's urologist. Good luck!
