Guardians of Rescue seems to be a national organization with local chapters. Its programs are impressive and not limited to rescuing kittens. It also works with veterans to help them get pets and I believe brings dogs back from Afghanistan for soldiers.
Make a donation, either through their website or by check. They also have Facebook page. Donations are tax deductible.

Yay!! I donated to guardians and added for the Kitten with the Bad leg. I hope we get updates on the little guy or girl. Would love to see a picture if you have it.

Yes, Guardians took the kitten, will care for it medically, then find it a home. I just gave them a donation also. I think its rescuer, the OP, will post about it soon. This has been a harrowing experience for her, poor girl.

Thanks everyone for your help and concern. The kitten, who has been named pojo for pt Jeff where we found it, is finally getting the help he deserves. They said the leg was beyond broken and is probably gonna be removed. I feel horrible he was suffering this whole time. They think he's about 10w old. The guy Robert from guardian told me that he will definitely end up in a home, it's gonna take a while to rehabilitate him tho cuz he's feral. Please if u can donate to guardians, because without them I was gonna have to put him down, they saved this kittys life. Thanks everyone again, the power of the lif community once again amazes me. I'll keep updating as I get them. If I can figure out how to get a pic on here from my phone I'll post also, unless sunnyflies knows how cuz I sent them to her. She was also a huge part in getting this kitty help. You guys rock!!!

Got it. I had to do it from my iPad and viewed the full site. Only then was I able to include the note "for the kitten with the broken leg".

Awww thanks for posting. I kinda miss him even tho he was mean n kept me up at night lol I made that lil area for him, I put a chair next to my couch so he could feel hidden and I made a gate with boxes, laundry baskets and shelves, it was quiet funny actually lol. He even knew to pee n poop on the paper so it will be no problem litter box training him. U can see how horrible the leg was, it just layed there in all different positions depending how he moved. I feel horrible he must have been in so much pain for all this time.

Oh and before anyone thinks I didn't have anywhere nice for him to lay, he had a soft bath mat but he wouldn't lay on it, had no problem pooping on it tho lol

I realize this thread is 4 years old but I stumbled upon it and was so touched at how many people wanted to help the kitty. I'm especially touched at the kindness of Steph7308 who took in the kitty while she also had to take care of a baby and SunnyFlies who got in touch with Guardians of Rescue. I made a donation today and I noted this link in my donation so they will know that their good work does not go unnoticed.
