Interviewing Pediatricians
I don't want to make this into a big process. I do have a recommendation for a Pediatrician (practice of 4) that comes highly recommended, however, I have an interview next week with a pediatrician within a couple of minutes from my house. What I'm wondering is, should I just see how that goes before inquiring anywhere else. The one I'm going to had good reviews online and the receptionist was extremely nice, so that's a plus. What did you do when selecting a Pediatrician? I'm having twins and if they come early, I know I'll have many appointments in the beginning. That is why I am trying to select a closer location. The practice that I have the recommendation for is only 15 min. away, but that's still a lot more than a few min. Thanks for your help.

Re: Interviewing Pediatricians
Congrats on the twins- how exciting. Here's some things i would look for when choosing a pedi:
- Hours/ after hours( does a call go to a service? or is Dr reachable?) -proximity is important, but 15 mins isn't too far. In the beginning, you 'll have lots of appts, but as they get older you'll -hopefully- only see them once every few months. I travel 25 mins for our Dr b/c I like them so much -do they have a sick/well waiting room - do they support breastfeeding( if thats important to you ) -do they have children of their own? I think that gives a much different perspective when dishing out advice/medications/tips
Theres some other stuff, but I can't think of it now. GL!
