Hadn't seen this thread until now...
I'm 30, DH is 31. We have been trying to TTC since March 2009. We would have started sooner, but had some other related issues to deal with. I had a M/C at the beginning of June at about 5 weeks. I had only known I was PG for about a week and a half, but it was still devastating. My Dr. said that we should wait two "regular" cycles before trying again.Well, my cycles have never been regular, but after AF paid a couple of visits, we decided to start trying again at the end of August. Not doing anything but BDing right now. Trying to be as relaxed as possible about this for the first couple of months, then we'll see.
to all.

Re: Intro Thread .... a place to share your story, and get to know others!
Hey ladies, I am H. (sorta in hiding, i'm an 08 bride) I'm 28 and DH is 27. We only TTC for 2 months when we found out we were pregnant in March. We had a MC in April (I was about 8 weeks), and had to have the D&C the day after our 1 year anniversary! It was an emotional time for us...we didnt tell either of our families (we SO badly wanted to surprise them....and when we found out about MC, the timing just wasn't right to break the news to them) We decided to since take a break from TTC for a while but we are officially trying again this month! I have since told a few family members and friends about what happened....It was REALLY hard keeping it all bottled up inside. It definately helps being able to come on here and talk to you ladies. Thanks for being there!

Sorry, I just saw this. For the time being, my name is secret. I'm a long-time poster, and I'm pretty private where TTC is concerned.

Re: Intro Thread .... a place to share your story, and get to know others!
Hi I'm Jayme I am 28 and DH is 26
We had our miscarriage on 8/21(while we were on vacation in Montauk) I was 8 weeks 5 days.
I went back for a blood test and they said that my blood levels are back to below 5 so I won't need a D & C, but now I am just waiting to get AF so I can regulate again. We have to wait 2 cycles before we can try. Good Luck to all!!!
i am really glad to have this board b/c lately I have been really down and having a real hard time, so it's nice to know I can come here!

Hi all,
I'm 32 and DH is 38. Got pregnant 11/06 - had DD 8/07 - no problems whatsoever. Recently found out I was pregnant in August and today at my first sono they couldn't find a heartbeat. I would have been 9 weeks tomorrow - but instead, I have to have a D&C.
I wasn't too upset at first - but then the doctor started talking about the D&C and the waterworks began. I'm feeling better now - trying to reason in my brain why this happened. (My DH lost his job Monday....so my luck this week hasn't been very good.)
I hope to start TTC again soon!

Re: Intro Thread .... a place to share your story, and get to know others!
I’m Rachel and I am 37, I have a three and a half year old son whom I adore to pieces. I was 19 weeks pregnant in March when I started bleeding lightly, over about 3 days time it turned into what looked like a full blown period. I went to the hospital with my BFF Rosemary (my husband was away in quite a remote place working) and I had a sonogram that showed that our baby had no heartbeat and had stopped being viable at around 15 weeks, it took nearly 4 weeks for my body to start miscarrying. I was induced (if you will) and delivered what they call the product, after that I had to have a D&C as my placenta wasn’t releasing. It was pretty traumatic physically, but I felt great it was all over. Whilst it was very traumatic, when it was all over I was happy that it happened the way it did and that I didn’t have to carry a baby that wasn’t right, that wouldn’t have been the right thing for me and my family. I was VERY excited when my periods returned and after 2 cycles, we decided to start trying again, and guess what, pregnant on the first go. I am 16 weeks pregnant now and I feel it! I think things probably happen for a reason, and maybe this baby is my reason! Keeping a good attitude helped me through it, I always thought every single day, don’t be upset, only good things can come to you now Rachel, only good things. And I really feel that they are. So keep your peckers up! Keep thinking positive thoughts! I know that nothing I had done had caused me to lose the baby, sometimes these things just happen! The follow up from my doctor was inconclusive, and I was so grateful for that....

Re: Intro Thread .... a place to share your story, and get to know others!
I guess I should 'introduce' myself as well now that things have been confirmed.
My name is sort of in hiding only because I'm not sure which people in my life are still posting on LIF. So i'll just call myself C for now.
I'm 24 years old (25 in a couple months) and DH is 29. At about 6 months into our marriage, we made the decision to start a family on our one year anniversary. However, as we drew closer, we both got impatient and jumped the gun a little bit. lol. I ended up getting pregnant the first month that I successfully used the OPKs and other TTC methods (which was close to our 8 month anniversary). We were so happy and excited about this new member of the family. Only weeks later, we lost him or her, making it chemical pregnancy. Even though we were only about 4 1/2 weeks along, it's still been a very difficult process to accept what happened.
We'll be trying again in a couple of months (I guess going back to our original plan of waiting until that year mark) and I pray that we never ever again have to experience what we did this past week.
This board has been more helpful than anything! The girls on here have helped me through some very difficult times and I can't thank you all enough.
<-- for us all

I kind of had that too. Like it didn't feel real. Me & Dh both said that we didn't really feel a 'bond' to it yet (we hoped we would after hearing its heart beat). And I resisted telling anybody other than my immediate family. Even while telling them, there was still something deep down inside of me that just felt off. I don't know how to describe it. I guess because I knew how common it is to have a chemical pregnancy with the first. I don't know. Now that i think back after everything, it seems so odd.

Hi, my name is Dianne. Got pregnant on our first try in June and had a chemical. Got pregnant on our second try in July and in Sept suffered a miscarriage. I had a D&C two weeks ago. My long extended story can be found Here for anyone who has not read it. I am hopeful for the future and look forward to trying again. Third times a charm right? Good luck and baby dust to all of you!

Hi My name is Enza- I am 31 and DH is 29, been trying since April 2008- was succesful our first month of TTC but unfortunately had a D & C at 10 weeks... it was such a rollercoaster every other week was oh i think I see something come back next week then Oh no I am sorry you are miscarrying.. it went on for 4 weeks. I eventually had to have a D&C. I was heartbroken. Have been going to an RE since Febuary 09. Had 3 iuis unsucessful, In July had laproscopic surgery and they found I had endemeitriois. Got pregnant in August on our first try after surgery naturally, everything was looking good last Tuesday went to the dr to hear a heartbeat.. as I was in the dr's office I started to miscarry there... it was horrible. Went back to the dr this morning still waiting on my beta results hopefully they are down. We are going to do a recurrent miscarriage panel just for peace of mind. The doctor said he also wanted me to wait 2 months. I am trying to stay as positive as possible.... I just keep telling myself this is what I had to go through to get to the end result. And we will get there....... Good luck everyone!!!!

My name is Liz i am 30, DH is 32.
this was our first ttc and bfp, it all happened really quickly.
went for my first appt which was what i thought was 7w and a few days, only measured at 5w2d. the following week, started passing some clots and spotting. early the next week went to the dr, still no heart beat no growth. bloodwork confirms not a viable pg. really don't want d&c and trying to let nature take its course.
