Re: Irish Soda Bread
I have the easiest and most delicious recipe
Here goes: Irish Soda Bread ( 2 loaves) 6 1/2 cups sifted flour 1/2 cup sugar 2 tsp baking powder 2 tsp baking soda 1 1/2 tsp salt 1 cup margarine 2 2/3 cups buttermilk 1 cup raisins Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add margarine. Mix until you get coarse crumbs. Add buttermilk and raisins. Mix , then knead the dough and shape into loaves. Bake at 325 degrees.

Re: Irish Soda Bread
My sister's best friend has the best recipe ever!!!! I actually just called her today to get it - I'm sure she'll get back to me tomorrow about it. When she does, I'll post it. Apparently, it is to DIE for. I'll add it when I get it!

She called me earlier...
Irish Soda Bread
4 Cups Flour 1 Cup Sugar 4 Teaspoons Baking Powder 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda 1 Pound of Raisins 3 Eggs 1 Pint Sour Cream
-Sift dry ingredients and add raisins.
-Slightly beat eggs and add to sour cream.
-Mix.
-Put into a well greased round pan. She uses a cheesecake pan but anything like that which is round will work.
-Bake at 350 degrees for about an hour to an hour and a half (until golden brown).
...I can't wait to make it!
