I can't believe some of the things I'm reading on this thread. George Floyd died that day because he was murdered by Derek Chauvin. Period. End of story. I can't wrap my head around anyone thinking differently. It's on video. How much clearer can it be?
People just like to argue for the sake of arguing.
I wonder how fairly he will be treated in jail?

Can someone please show me where anyone is defending Chauvin? Bringing up Floyd’s level of intoxication is not defending Chauvin.

This is the only comment on this thread I took issue with... It’s not blaming the victim. If you have ACTUALLY been watching the trial and not the narrative that has been put forth to prepare for rioting then you would know there were other cameras that showed his knee on Floyd’s shoulder, not neck. There are so many MAJOR details that have been under or non-reported about this case it’s gross. The prosecution is crumbling.
I have ACTUALLY been watching the trial. His knee changed position just before EMT's arrived. For a majority of that time, Chauvin's knee was on his neck. Medical examiners and doctors have said repeatedly Floyd would not have died that day if not for Chauvin. This particular poster, yes I do tend to lean towards her hoping Chauvin gets acquitted.

I’m confused since you didn’t use actual quotes but you hope Chauvin gets acquitted? I’m so confused. Or you think she is hoping he gets acquitted? I do believe that the media only reports part of the story and it would not surprise me if certain details are not being conveyed.

This. And honestly I don't care either way if you come back with a new user name but it's clear that's who you are and you haven't denied it since you came back so it doesn't really make sense to start denying it now.

Nope, so no need to bring up either of our names and being called a racist.

Ah, sorry. I had a 4 yr old climbing all over me lol. The first paragraph was hers, the second was mine. Sorry for the confusion.
Thank you for clarifying! I was really disappointed to think that you were as racist as VB is! Granted I don't know you, but from what I recall you are usually reasonable and pleasant in your posts!
Lol yes I see the confusion. Not racist at all! I am disgusted by what I read on here. Sad world we live in.
Did VB respond to this thread? Did I miss something?
Are you really pretending you are not ValentinesBaby coming back with a different user name? You have made enough references regarding posters that you are definitely not a new poster.
This. And honestly I don't care either way if you come back with a new user name but it's clear that's who you are and you haven't denied it since you came back so it doesn't really make sense to start denying it now.
ITA with you both. Same poster, different name for the 1000th time. How sad to pretend otherwise.
Who is pretending?
The entire point is why is someone bringing up a poster and calling them racist when they didn’t even post to the thread?

Actually, the point was that above you literally pretended that you're not VB, when you are. And everyone knows it. Weird.

Haha! She’s not even on this thread!
Right? So weird.

Re: Is anyone watching the Derek Chauvin's murder trial?
The last time I felt like I was in bizzaro world because of trolling on social media and platforms, I used this article to clarify a few things. It's a great article.
https://www.cnn.com/2018/08/17/opinions/stop-calling-russian-operatives-troll-farms-geltzer
I have no way of knowing who is a professional troll and who is a bullying troll emboldened by anonymity and who is trying to engage in civil conversation, but can't------but it doesn't really matter. I have no desire to accuse, or even engage with posters who come across as one kind of troll or the other. On the internet, you are perceived as you behave.

Many are bullies behind a screen too. At least I hope it is just behind the screen as that would be horrible if they were bullies and as immature IRL.
