Is it ever "not worth it" to temp or use OPK's?
I had been using OPK's; some months didn't get a + at all; some I did and am pretty certain I O'd and there was 1 month where I got a + and Im like CERTAIN I didn't O at all (and then didn't get af either)!
Before I buy more OPK's, and a basal thermometer- should I wait til the RE is done with his "tests"???
I planned to still try this month- while tests were being done- figured Id temp/use OPK's- but if they are not for me- then Im not sure Ill even spend the $$$$
Hope this question makes sense- lol

If you're under the care of an RE I'd stop using OPKs. No point in spending the money and stressing yourself out. Just BD and let the RE figure it all out.

That's what I figured...
This will be my first month with the RE and I guess, I just don't know what to expect....
I assume- no decisions will be made or DX given until all tests come back (the only ones I know for sure are CD 3, Cd14 and Cd 22)- so I kinda figured rather than "waste" this month- Id still try the natural way and figured temping and OPK's would help....
But don't wanna stress or even spend the $$$ if there is no point....
ETA- I guess Im still really hoping I could do this on my own...

When I did by OPKs pre going to a RE I used the cheap ones from amazon. The ones where the line has to be as dark as the control line. They are super cheap and I got a ton of them for like $20. When I am cycling with my RE I don't use them. This month we are on a break to do more testing so I since I have so many OPKs I figured I would use them just to see if I was ovulating this month and to also BD around O time even though our chances are slim. If you are trying on your own and you buy cheap ones then I would use them, if you are cycling with your RE no need to use them. Your RE will be able to pinpoint O more accurately than your O tests. Good luck.
