I'd probably call the cops if someone did that in my garbage cans. I live in a nice neighborhood that would not fly.

Is it rude? Honest opinions!

WOW I'm surprised at how many people would be offended by this. Not judging at all, just surprised. My first opinion before reading was that NO WAY would it even phase me to be mad. I'd actually be happy that you were thoughtful enough to bag it up and not leave it in the curb, feel free to use my garbage. It's not like you threw raw poop in there, it's in a bag!

Other than the fact that you clearly have no qualms about feces and germs what are you getting at? It's not even relevant to the original post

Same here...I cuddle with my little shitbag all the time.
But I'm gross.
Dog poo bags don't bother me, someone blowing their nose in the shower doesn't bother me, I sit on toilet seats without a paper cover. Sometimes I pee in the shower and EVERYONE ELSE ON HERE DOES TOO AND IF THEY SAY THEY DON'T THEY ARE A LIAR.
If you ever peed in the bathroom at CBGB, ain't no bathroom gonna bother you.

I wouldn't give a shit.

I've got bigger fish to fry than to worry about someone throwing their dog's packaged excrement in my trash can. I'd rather they do that then let their dog go on my lawn and not pick it up. I've seen that plenty if times.

I can't believe this is even worthy of a five page thread.

Seriously folks, get over it. Your garbage is garbage and it already smells like shit. What's the big deal if there's a little more in it?

Chat Icon

Why should someone "get over it?". The OP asked for opinions. Why are the people giving the opinions being attacked?

I'm not attacking anyone, trust me, you'd know if I was attacking someone. Chat Icon

It's my opinion that it's ridiculous for someone to be angry that someone else puts garbage in their garbage can.

Seems like you're attacking me for having MY opinion! Chat Icon

Re: Is it rude? Honest opinions!

I really don't get all the hostility.

The OP asked for opinions. The opinions are going to go 1 of 2 ways. Some people are fine with random strangers putting bags of dog poop in their garbage cans. Other people think it's rude and gave, IMO, very valid reasons why they wouldn't like it.

Why do we have to attack each other for having an opinion? To those of you who think that those of us who consider it rude are spending every waking moment angry about this, you are wrong.

The topic came up, I read it, I thought about it, I personally find it rude because the bags would either end up at the bottom of my garbage can or on my property due to the way my garbage men collect garbage, I gave my opinion and moved on with my day. It's not like we are up at night thinking about it. Geez.

but we are talking about a trash can, not a mailbox Chat Icon

I would dump it if the garbage was already out on the curb for pick-up. I wouldnt walk up to someones driveway and throw it out. And I probably wouldnt toss it if the lid was on the garbage can either.

Re: Is it rude? Honest opinions!

And you know what.....maybe, just MAYBE there is a dog owner on here who has read this and never realized that putting dog poop bags into other people's garbage cans was something that bothered them and MAYBE they will think twice about it in the future.

Sometimes we get so focused on being right and not wanting to admit that there's another way to look at things, that we completely ignore the fact that other people make good points.

There have been plenty of times on LIF where I thought I had a very strong opinion about things, but have changed my mind or viewpoint based on discussion.

I'm sure most of us would like to take care of business at home but geez, if you have to use someones bathroom it would be nice to know there is some febreeze up in that piece Chat Icon

Is it rude? Honest opinions!

how is it that this post can go for 7 pages, but a non-drama post (ie a JOKE someone took the wrong way) was immediately pulled from the preggo board?
