we have 3 kids but I would definitely have 1 more if we could afford it

Yep, that's why we are having only 2....if it were up to me it would be 3 or 4.

I loved being preggo towards the middle to the end. The beginning was I had severe MS.
I would say if the second one produces the same symptoms...it might be my last. Oh and $ definitely always plays a role.

Unfortunately yes.

DH has some newly discovered chromosome issues in his family. If we tried again, he would have to go through testing before we did it& even then he would worry.

Even before we knew about the chromosome issues, he was petrified when I was pregnant with Maddie. He (and I) consider ourselves extremely blessed to have healthy chidren.

Well, yes and no...

We always wanted two, boy and girl and we've been blessed with them. Finances do play a role because we want to be able to afford to give them experiences (travel, etc.) and the best education we can.

In all honestly, being in my later thirties, I don't think I'd have the energy to have twin toddlers and a newborn

No, not really. But things will be more manageable if we quit while we are ahead. We are just looking forward to being out of the baby stage, toddler phase and getting on with life. Doesn't help that I am already on the older side.

Not really.

1. I hated being pregnant as well, I had so many complications even though I was tiny!
2. DD is very high maintenance!
3. I don't think I want to go thru the nightmares of sleepless nights, teething, tantrums, humilation at restaurants, etc. too many times.

Money definitely isn't the #1 reason although it's certainly a factor. I'm 1 of 9 and grew up with very few material things, but we had an abundance of love.

The main reason we're (probably) done is that I'm 41 and DH is 45. If we were even 5 years younger, there would be a 3rd.

No. We haven't decided on a final number yet (2, maybe 3), but I don't think I'd want more than 3 regardless of the $$.

DEFINITELY!!! When I was PG with Connor DH said he would love to give me a little girl but he just didn't see how we could afford it. Since then he's always said he's done because we couldn't afford a 3rd. But in my heart I KNOW I'm not done. I want a 3rd baby sooo badly already, I can't help it! I'm working on DH. Things have changed for us. Of course we're still working on finances, that will be never ending. I'm just worried that if and when my DH says we can have a 3rd it might be too late for me. I have severe Endo and besides me turning 30 in Sept. I know that's not too old, but combine that with the Endo, my clocks ticking! I was told I couldn't even get PG with my first 2. I'm also in NC so having a 3rd baby is definitely more doable (sp?) here than in NY. If we were in NY we wouldn't of been able to afford 1 child.

Oh... I loved being PG and miss it so much so that's not the issue. Just getting past the 1st trimester bleeding is the scary part for me, than it's pretty good!

It's not a money issue for us but kids can definitely be more expensive than you can ever anticipate. You can do the math on the main things they will need but there's NO WAY to anticipate all the little things they need that can add up money-wise. We wanted 3 and were blessed to have 3 but it's definitely more than enough. If I was younger, I know we'd be considering another but thank God I'm not bc like I said, 3 is more than enough. It's a sanity issue over here.

Lots of reasons
age, money, my sanity and I hate being pregnant.

I would adopt one more but DH doesn't want to and its really expensive.

We have 2, boy and girl and we are definately done. I am so ready to get to the next phase of our life of saving some money, taking the kids places. I don't want to want to worry how to find the money for formula or diapers.

Yes, My husband said the other day if we were millionaires I would be pregnant every 9 months

Not really. DH would have more if I wanted to, but I am happy with a small family. Me, DH, DS and DD is on her way. That will be it for us.

Yes. Well, that and because I just had DD in December.

But we can't have another child in the foreseeable future..2-3 years. We don't have the room and we don't have the money to upgrade to a bigger apartment yet!
