Muahahahahahah what a day for me to answer this one....
I've had it tough, Horrible pregnancy (hypermemesis), worse delivery (52 hours of labor) and a sick baby (9 weeks and she can still be a pretty miserable demon)
This being said this whole journey has been incredible. I have learned more about myself these last few months then I ever have. I have become STONGER (physicially and mentally), more PATIENT and probably the biggest accomplishement is being more OPEN MINDED about the world around me.
I've found a strength in myself I never knew I had.
I have learned a LOVE that I never knew existed. It is a LOVE that is so powerful that one look at her can bring me to my knees.
I never knew that I would have such a STRONG PRIMAL maternal insitict that I feel like a mamma Lion protecting my cub.
I never knew that her cry could rip my soul in two pieces and that I would do whatever it takes to keep her happy and not have to hear that cry.
I never knew how a smile or coo from her could turn what is a HORRIBLE MISERABLE day into the best day of my life.
I never knew I would be so TERRIFIED that something would happen to her. I never knew I could worry about someone so much.
Even on the days when she has been screaming for hours or wanting to nurse 24/7 and I'm about to loose my mind; I am THANKFUL that I have experienced all of this and wouldn't trade my expereince for anyone elses......
pretty much the same for me! minus the bad pregnancy and labor!

I never thought motherhood would be as stressful as it is.. I cant believe how much I sweat over the little things when it comes to my girls. I love every minute of it.. but man it is stressful!! I never even worried about BPA before being pregnant.

I never really thought about what it would be, maybe because I am from a large family and used to having lots of babies around, I didn't think motherhood was some magical event. I knew there would be good days, tough days, sleepless nights.
What I didn't expect was the complete bliss I would feel just looking at my son or the constant feeling of happiness and contentment even when he is having a rough day. I never realized how happy a child can make you, I guess I was wrong about motherhood not being a magical event because it really is.

Re: is motherhood everything you'd thought it'd be?
I was terrifed when I got my BFP, and then even more scared when we found out it was twins. Everyone was like how will you be able to do this and I heard on horror story after the other. I was so scared when I had to be induced that I was not going to be able to handle this.
In comparison to the horror storires and how scared people made me, it was much easier. Not that it was not hard, but in comparision to how I thought it was a cake walk, LOL.
I also was scared to be a bad mother and I actually think I am pretty good at it, so that was surprising to me. From what a freidn told me, good mothers worry that they won't be good, Bad mothers think they are the best moms out there.
