No. I don't know why we would be... I wonder if our DC office is closed, though (traffic, security, etc.)

Re: Is your office closed Inauguration Day?
I though it would be but it isnt. . . we do get off if a former president dies though so that is why I thought that.
Only some federal offices are closed:
NOTE: Inauguration Day, January 20, 2009, falls on a Tuesday. An employee who works in the District of Columbia, Montgomery or Prince George's Counties in Maryland, Arlington or Fairfax Counties in Virginia, or the cities of Alexandria or Falls Church in Virginia, and who is regularly scheduled to perform nonovertime work on Inauguration Day, is entitled to a holiday.

I am so jealous!
on another note, it will be nice to see the photos of Bush and Cheney be replaced in our lobby

Re: Is your office closed Inauguration Day?
We're open but it is a Federal Holiday here in DC, so most Exec Branch Agencies will be closed. Congress is in session though at 3pm.

Re: Is your office closed Inauguration Day?
Well my boss asked if we were closed after I reminded him we're closed the 19th. Our DC office will be closed - they always get out of these days -

Love this response!
ETA- to answer the question- we are lucky we have off on Christmas around here- we don't get off Columbus Day or Veteren's Day or anything like that. So Inauguration Day is a big fat NO!
