IUI with a 33mm follicle?!
So on Saturday when i went in to LIIVF for my Clomid/IUI check, i had a 22mm follicle on right side. However, my blood results showed that i was not ready yet. So they wanted me to come Sunday, but i was unable to so they told me to come in Monday but told me by then i probably would have already ovulated.
So I come in this morning expecting them to say i ovulated and this IUI cycle is a bust , instead they say that the 22mm grew to 33mm.  I asked if that was too big or a cyst but they didn't seemed too worried. Bloodwork comes back and they say that it looks good and i should be ovulating soon. I was instructed to trigger tonight and was scheduled an iui for tomorrow morning.
Isn't that too big? I asked them again but they didn't really seem worried much. BTW, I am on cycle day 13 and my bloodwork is LH is 23.3, P3 is 1.09 and E2 is 898.

That sounds really large to me... idk my RE usually triggers me based on size and they don't really wait for blood... like I will go in and if I have follies near 20mm they will trigger me that day for IUI next day, or if I don't have the trigger then I will have it ordered and give it to myself that night for IUI 36 hours later, but they don't seem to wait for the blood... in any case I wish you luck!

That sounds too big to me. Figure another 1-2mm per day plus the trigger gives it a little extra "umph" means it's at least 35mm. I think 18-22mm is ideal. Maybe you have another, smaller follie that they think is worthwhile?

Did IUI today. It was 33 1/2mm she said. There were smaller follicles but the NP said that this one is the one that will ovulate. Even though they said there was no problem with the size, I'm not so hopeful, which is sad cause this is my first IUI ever  I called my RE about it yesterday but he never got back to me which was also upsetting. I guess it wasn't that urgent to him.
On the plus side, my DH sample was 14.8mil with 92% motility after wash which was nice to hear.
