I've tried transitioning Maddie to milk, but she seems to be allergic...
I have mixed a little with her formula and she breaks out in a rash in her diaper area. She eats yogurt and cheese without any problems. What can I try with her instead of whole milk? Is there another option besides Soy?

Rice milk.
Generally diaper rash isn't considered a symptom of a milk allergy.
I would speak to your ped before trying anything.

This happened to DD at exactly a year. She tolerated cheese and yogurt well but not the whole milk (I always do organic). The Dr. had me wait a few months, so I kept her on formula and tried again at 14 months and she did fine on it.

I would speak to your ped before trying anything.
This is how we knew my DD has a milk allergy as an infant - because of the severity of the diaper rash. It is my understanding from our ped that it can be a symptom. They tested her stool and she did, in fact, have a milk allergy.

same thing happened with my son...in his diaper area, and on the back of his neck...he is fine with all other dairy products...I switched him to soy and it seems to be going away. Maybe it is just too much dairy for them?

I'm not disagreeing - It's how I knew that my DD was allergic to oranges. I said it because most pediatricians will tell you that diaper rash is not a symptom of an allergy.

I would try waiting a few more weeks and try again before looking for other options - Or - see what your ped recommends!

ITA!
The first couple of weeks we transitioned Christopher, he got a red butt too, no more. He LOVES milk!
