IVF Questions
So my doctor has advised me to go straight to IVF due to my age and quality issues with DH's sperm.
I'm supposed to call on Day 1 to schedule blood work. I thought he said blood work on days 2, 3, and 4. Does that sound right, or did I misunderstand and it's just one of those days?
Did anyone else's DH have poor sperm quality and still get results? His count is off the charts, but due to his smoking and other unknowns, he only has like 4% good ones.
Did anyone else take DHEA? Any side effects I should know about?
We didn't get to talk to the doctor for too long because DH had to get to work and they were late taking us in to meet with the dr. I don't even know what questions I should have!

I called on Day 1, went in on Day 3 for bloodwork and ultrasound. I dont think they do blood work 2, 3, 4. Its either day 3 or 4.
I personally have not experienced the poor sperm issue, but i know of friends who all had male factor and had successful IUI's and IVF's.
I stopped taking all supplements (as I was on some herbal stuff like primrose oil, flax seed oil) before I started IVF. I cant speak for DHea. All I take right now is prenatal, and probiotics.

Yes. You are right about the call on CD 1. You can be zen from cycle day 2-4 but not everyday. As for your DH I would recommend him seeing a urologist. They helped my DH improve his counts. Although we still needed ICSI, the sperm looked better. Best of everything!

Call on day 1 and they will tell you when to come in.
Yes. DH had to be on meds for almost a year before we could even attempt ivf. Successful first ivf but only one embie, #2 failed and # 3 with new dr successful and 24 weeks preggo
Dhea is great assuming you take it at least 8 weeks before your cycle. Assuming your re told you to take it? No side effects here.
