no update on my end

Yeah, none here either. Although I have a "new pain" now -- it's this crazy pelvic pain that wraps around my pelvis exactly where the bones meet. It's on both the right and left sides and I have NO CLUE what it is!

I can also feel the baby a LOT this morning which is very unusual. She has been extremely quiet lately.

I go back to the doctor tomorrow afternoon for my 39/40 week appointment.

DH and I talked to a lot of people and we have decided we are not going to go with an induction unless there is a medical reason for it or the baby is in some sort of distress (or fluids are low, etc). I have a friend from HS who is a midwife I emailed with a bit and she says that even the least complicated inductions can put a lot of stress on the baby (not to mention the mommy) which is another reason the failure rate is so high. My OB would have to do a good deal to convince me otherwise at this point.

BTW, DH is convinced the baby is coming on 1/11/11 now... I'm not sure why. He says either 1/10 or 1/11. I think he just likes binary #s.

I can't believe it is January!!!!
16 days 8 hours to go !!!

Last week at 37 week checkup I had no progress yet. I go back Tuesday !!
Been feeling good except for a head cold & hip pain at night ugh.
We went out today to get a few things we didn't get yet so now I think we are ready for this little guy. So excited to meet him!!!

Can you add me in? My EDD is 2/2/11, but, my scheduled re-peat C/S is 1/28/11. That's if I make it! I feel like this is going to drop out of me any day now!

My last Dr.'s appt. @ 33 wks, he was weighing in @ 5lbs 6oz. Much bigger than "average". He keeps elbowing me or kicking me, I swear a foot is going to pop out of my bellybutton one of these times! I really hate to complain, considering everything I went through to get here, but I'm w/ the first few posters.... I'm done!!!

Michelle, your c is scheduled for my mom's birthday!

Sorry you're uncomfortable -- we do totally understand!!!

I'm so scared of a 10 lb baby lol but I can't imagine that happening. DH and I are both small people! But we'll see... hopefully within the next week!

Awh thanks!
My DD is June 28- so I thought it'd be cute to have them both on the 28th. (When I get older and can't remember much, should be easier )

My DH is convinced I'm having a 10lb baby! We're very tall people, so, we know this LO is going to be tall. (DH is 6'2" and I'm 5'8") I go on Tues. and I'll get a new measurement on weight.... I'm a little scared! LOL

Here's my update from my appointment on Monday:

Still pretty much the same as Thursday... 3 cm dilated, 75% effaced, baby is at -1... my doctor can't believe I haven't gone into labor on my own already lol. Due date is Friday and he wanted to induce on Monday, but we want to wait longer to see if I can go naturally. Instead, we're going to go in for a non-stress test Monday instead and take it from there. I'm hoping she decides to come out on her own between now and then.

He wants to induce before 41 weeks, but we'd like to wait until 41 weeks so we'll see what happens Monday.

They've scheduled me for an induction already, but I'm not going to really consider it until we see what happens on Monday at the non-stress test first.

Other than the fact that I'm somehow not in labor, everything looks great!

Sandra, glad everything looks great! Sorry you're not in labor, perhaps some spicy food and some good ol' lovin's can do the trick

No update from me. Gail is in the same boat as me now, it sounds... Jeanette had quite an update today! She may end up having her baby before either of us at this point!!!

I go back to the doctor on Monday for a non-stress test. I have an induction scheduled fore before I hit 41 weeks but I'm really scared of being induced and really want to avoid it. So we'll see. If I don't go into labor on my own by Friday I may try to find somewhere that does acupuncture or massage to help naturally induce. I don't know if DH would go for that though but we'll see.

Ladiessss I have an update!!!!! I had my baby on 1/3/11. It was the most amazing experience and I still cannot believe this beautiful baby boy came out of me!!! We named him Evangelos Nikolaos after both DH and my father and the middle name is my DH's name. We are very excited. I cannot wait to write my birth story and post pics after my hospital stay. Good luck to the rest of the January ladies....it is so worth the wait!!!!

Urgh, no update for me either. I just went to my 37.5 wk appt and I'm 1cm dilated, the baby is 6.5 lbs.

And if ONE more person tells me I look like I'm ready to go

Ive tried alot of the old wives tales......sex, eating spicy food(had indian the other night and last night I had hot wings that were called mount st. helens that made my nose run and my eyes tear ) drinking pineapple juice, bouncing on a yoga ball, walking........NOTHING is working!!!!!

Have you tried acupressure points? I believe there is one by your ankle that will trigger labor.

There are videos on youtube that will show you how.
