joining WW tonight and nervous ! UPDATED ..with 1st week weigh in!!
i really need to loose 20lbs ! I quit smoking when pregnant with DD and since then, put on the weight, she is THREE !! I need to get it off. I eat when I am bored too - not even hungry !
another thing is I am a vegetarin, so I eat alot of pasta - I just switched to the Ronzoni whole wheat , or whole grain (can't remember which) but I think that is soo much healthier than white flour pasta right? Also the fiber is high, so I do load up on veggies, but don't like veggie burgers. This is going to be a tough one !
UPDATED - so last night was my first weigh in and I lost 1.6lb, I know I should be happy, but I have to admit, I was a little disappointed, I hear lots of others saying they lost 4 - 5 . I guess it is a good start.

good for you, I joined online and am trying...week 3 and nothing lost or gained but I'm a stress eater! and lots of stress means...not so great on the diet

I delayed joining for a long time also bc I was so nervous and did not want to fail.
At my 4 week weigh in I was down 7 pds  Going again today and according to my home scale I should have lost a cple more
YOU CAN DO IT, honestly

thank you for the input - I have to go to the meetings or I will def. slack ! If someone is writing down and see my weight loss - it makes it more of a challenge for myself. I am just worried that most of my diet is pasta - but ALWAYS Filled with veggies.

It is all portion control.
You will see once you start, you can have pasta, but it's the portion control. Plus like you said you beef it up by adding veggies

That is awesome-keep it up.
Don't get discouraged-one of the leaders I talked to mentioned how she never got a big drop. She always lost small amounts (.4 one week, .8 another)-but, she ended up losing 42 pounds total and looks great! You will get there and you are off to a great start

I lost a lot of weight on WW about 10 years ago, and I never lost more than 3lbs in a week, so don't be discouraged!

1.6 lbs is great! You only have 20lbs to lose so that is a great start. Those who lose 4-5 lbs that first week are usually the people (like me) who need to lose 50lbs or more.....
