Jones Beach Air show- How is the practice day (traffic/bathroom)?
Last year and this year DH is the meteorologist at the Jones Beach Air Show. Both years DS and I have been invited to go with him, as a courtesy. I didn't go last year because I heard the traffic is a nightmare. (And DH has to be there WAY earlier than us, so we'd have to meet him.)
Is the practice day any better on traffic? How is the bathroom situation? (Think about a 4 year old and a pregnant lady.) Not sure if we can be in the office where DH is, so I would like to know the good, the bad and the ugly about it.

Practice Day is great!!! There was NO traffic to speak of, tons of close parking and no crowds or lines of any kind.
So much better than the year we attempted the actual show and it was a hike anywhere and full parking lots.
I say go for it

We always go to the practice show since it's so much less crowded. DH is an ATC so he's way into the planes and all that but he hates crowds lol.
Would you bring a 10.5 month old? We want to go this year but I'm nervous about the planes being so loud for my daughter's ears. What do you think?

We bought DS when he was 7 months old.. It really wasn't that loud.. Jut have to watch out for the Blue Angels. We got him noise reducing headphones.. They worked so well he slept through the Blue Angels show and they were flying right over us!! I ordered them on Amazon.com

I don't have the full details yet, but I am pretty sure it's the Friday of that week. The show is Memorial Day weekend. I know DH is scheduled to be there Fri-Sun, so that's why assume Friday is the practice day.
