Just a small review of our early January Disney vacation!

We decided to drive to Disney ( I live in MD) and go from Jan2-Jan 7. We drove for 9 hours and got a hotel in savannah georgia on Jan 1, then drove the additional 4 hours the next morning to our hotel. We had a double DVD player ready to go for the car and it was great! We don't mind driving, so it wasn't a big deal for us. The way home we drove straight through (13 hours). Round trip gas was under $200!!

We stayed at Lake Buena Vista Village Resort and Spa. My mom and sisters went on the trip as well, and we all stayed in a 3 bedroom suite there. It was AWESOME. Clean, pretty facilities-kitchen with everything you'd need to cook plus a washer/dryer and an amazing master bedroom w/spa jacuzzi type tub. It was around 2000 square feet and absolutely perfect for what we needed. The total price was around $900 (with taxes/resort fees included). We were a 10 minute drive to the parks and down the road from downtown disney. The best part of the hotel was the pirate ship pool and pool bar. The kids absolutely loved it!!

We aren't crazy planners I'll admit...We knew we were going, and we knew we needed to keep the trip around 3K. By driving and sharing the suite we saved so much money. We only did one day at magic kingdom, one day at universal and went to downtown disney twice to eat at T-Rex cafe (highly recommend) and let the boys play at the lego store. It was a very relaxed trip and amazing to have my sisters and mom there to help. We even got to enjoy a date night in downtown while my mom babysat...nice to have!!! We didn't have any kind of dining plan. Made breakfast in our room every day, and got lunch/dinner at the parks. I think the entire trip cost $2300!! I would do it again in a heartbeat. It was tough at times being my youngest is 1.5, but we still managed ok. I can't wait to return!!!

OH and crowds weren't bad at all. We got to see everything harry potter and waited about 15 minutes for each ride! We got to the park before it opened and got on all the stuff early before it was flooded. :)

great review! i highly recommend the time you went. i went a few years ago at that time and it was great. some nights were cold but overall it was awesome to not be around snow and really cold weather in ny.

where is the fifth picture of the ship from?

I should add that we shared the price of the hotel with my family, plus my mom bought the universal tickets for everyone as a christmas present, hence the low amount we spent
