Keep the driving questions coming - Yield Signs?
Just curious because I have been seeing just AWFUL driving lately.
Poll mostly just for laughs...I hope you all choose the first one.

Re: Keep the driving questions coming - Yield Signs?
OMG I had to stop once at a yield sign (getting off of Nicholls North going to LIE East) and slowed at the yield sign at the service road. Eventually I had to stop b/c of so many cars coming and a woman slammed into me from the back. I now get afraid of that yield sign everyday that I come to it.
I did now notice theres kind of a small lane after the yield sign now, but before hand there was nothing.

Re: Keep the driving questions coming - Yield Signs?
I HATE yielding because I feel like I am putting my life in my hands everytime.
If you slow down and stop, which I normally do in most places, you always have some bozo behind you honking and giving you the finger, although there's about 100 cars racing down the road so you can't go in anyways.
The best is when they go around you on the left and almost cause everyone to crash.

I seriously CANNOT get over the sense of entitlement of so many people on they road. Get out of MY way. *sigh* This is the world we live in. There is just something that happens to some people when they get in a car.

Re: Keep the driving questions coming - Yield Signs?
coming from someone whos husband was killed by another blowing a yeild sign i ALWAYS slow down to almost a stop and make darn sure no one is coming. if someone is coming, i dont have to do much to completely stop.
i hope no one just breezes through them hoping no one is coming the other way

I am SOOO sorry for your loss. Unfortunately I see it all the time where the person entering the traffic pattern did not even look to see me coming.

I know, I know...that word gets thrown around a lot on here. Unfortunately I don't know what else to call it...what I see day in and day out. Especially on the road.

I always slow down. If it is safe to go, I do not stop. If it is not safe to go, I stop and wait until it is.

I slow down and check but try not to stop completely if possible b/c that's dangerous too.

Keep the driving questions coming - Yield Signs?
Anyone who answers anything other than the first option is a jackass and playing with people's lives

Re: Keep the driving questions coming - Yield Signs?
Most roads here have long entry ways to the highway and plenty of space past the yeild. NY roads were suicidal. I HATED them! They were practically T intersections!
I yield and leave MORE space because idiots WILL rear end you and push you into traffic (seen it) actually rear end fender benders are so common here its nearly a gurantee! ugh

pretty sure they were kidding given as the poll itself seems sort of cheeky.
