Kids & Dogs question (kinda gross)
So I am thinking ahead to the summer and Diesel tends to have loose poops so when I pick it up with the scooper there is uaually a little residue on the grass. So when DD is back there in summer, I dont want her stepping in it Does anyone else have this problem?
I was thinking I might have to wipe it up each time with a paper towel
Any other ideas?
We dont want to fence off the yard for a dog run b/c my backyard is not that big so I want the dogs to have access to the full yard

How about training the dog to go in one corner of the yard?

Re: Kids & Dogs question (kinda gross)
Hmmm well the best solution would be trying to firm that poop up a little bit -- I've added a little canned pumpkin to our dog's food when she's had loose stools, it really works for us! There's also POOP FREEZE, a spray that will solidify the poop to make picking it up easier. Now I don't know about the toxicity of the stuff.. You could also just boil the kettle and bring the hot water out with you when you pick up the poop and flush the whole area, - that plus your regular hosing would get rid of any germs left out there??
