ladies with elevated NK cells and clotting issues
How did you all handle your treatments. I listen to Dr. Barverman tell me all the treatments I have to do and I get so overwhelmed. Somebody please tell me it's not that bad right I think about it and I want to
ETA: any words of wisdom would be helpful. Thanks

Re: ladies with elevated NK cells and clotting issues
I don't have NK cells but I do have clotting issues. The Lovenox injections are not bad at all. In the beginning it can be a little scary but after a few shots you will be a pro. Just ice before and after, inject slow and you will do great. Just take it one day at a time. All the meds and the protocol can be overwhelming and scary but remember it is all worth it. I think one of the IF grads on the pregnancy board has NK cells. If you didn't xpost already you may want to try there. Good luck

Re: ladies with elevated NK cells and clotting issues
I do the shots for the clotting issues (lovenox)..once you get used to them it is not so bad and I am on prednisone and also have IVIG infusions for the NK cells. Again I know it is all overwheming at first but once you get used to it is really is not so bad. I do my infusions at home with a visiting nurse and my mom or a friend comes over and we watch movies..it is like a forced relaxation day every few weeks!
Hang in there and remember in the end it is all worth it for the little one you are carrying! I am 15 weeks and this is the furthest we have made it and I wholly believe it is because of this treatment!
If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask..best of luck!

Re: ladies with elevated NK cells and clotting issues
First i want to tell you that someone on this board loves you very much (you know who you are)
Ok i have both also and have been treated by Dr Braverman (my angel).. You should not be crying but rejoicing that you went to someone who found out what the heck is going on here and is WILLING to treat you..
The treatments are NOTHING.. You will take steroids for the N/K cells and shots for the bloodclotting.. then before the ER you will get and infusion (the nurse came to my house) it takes 2 hrs you can go to SIRM in the city or you can set up the appt in your home..After the ET you will get another infusion. Thats it.. I have had 2 failed IVF's w/out this treatment and only 1 with the treatments.. GUESS WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am 43 years old and am pregnant 23wks.. You should have confidence in his experience he is ahead of his time.. Do exactly what he suggests and I pray to God you get the same results.. That in fusion I believe is the anwer to my prayers.. There is no real proof but I just know it in my heart.. If you have any questions you FM me any time..

Re: ladies with elevated NK cells and clotting issues
I had both of those issues, took lovenox, babay asprin, vitamin e, prednisone until 16 weeks, intramuscular progesterone and had healthy twin boys delivered at 35 weeks due to preeclampsia. We are all healthy. It is ALL worth it
