Laid Off on FMLA?
I'm currently pregnant, due in the Summer. My department is on shaky ground right now, so I'm concerned about having a job to come back to after my 12 weeks FMLA.
That being said, if you lose your job while on FMLA (fired, laid off, etc.) can you collect unemployment right away?

If it is a legitimate reduction in force (a "RIF") I don't see why you would not be eligible for it.

I was laid off on FMLA with DS1. I got my full severance, continuation of medical benefits until the end of my maternity (my company at the time chose to do this - I do not think they had to), and was able to collect unemployment from day 1. l
