Laundry question
For those with a top loader washing machine, do you:
1) put the detergent in while the machine is filling up with water before putting the clothes in
Or
2) put all the clothes in while the machine is filling with water and then put the detergent in?

Laundry question
with a regular top loader, I've done both ways, but usually added it as the water is filling in. With the high efficiency, there is a slot that you are supposed to put it in first.

Re: Laundry question
#2, i like seeing how much clothing really piles up inside the machine before gauging how much detergent to use.. Since the water comes from the top, it hits the detergent first and it soaks better from top down, than bottom up... (And if i use the liquid detergent, i may place it right on top of certain stains so the water hits it as the machine fills up).
Dont think this is a big difference though...interesting question though:

Re: Laundry question
Detergent then clothing. I heard it is not good to put detergent directly on the clothing. Not sure if its true or not, but I just follow that motto.
Turn on, water goes on, as it starts filling I add the detergent and my OXI, then add the clothes.
