Leap Day Baby, Yay or Nay?
I asked this on fb too but want to get as many opinions as possilble.. I am due sunday 2/26 but this baby just isn't looking like he wants to come out. I have to schedule a cs, had cs with ds #1 and they won't induce me this time, and the two days I can choose are 2/29 (Leap Day) or 3/2. I am liking 3/2 because i'm partial to even days but would think to have a leap day baby would be interesting.

I would go with 3/2, that way your LO doesn't miss his actual b-day most years.

I have to disagree with the majority here. I think Feb 29th is great because it's such a unique birthday. It was my grandmother's birthday and I always thought it was cool to be born on leap day. But of course you should just go with whatever you're comfortable with

3/2 for sure.
Besides the fact that the actual birthday only comes around every 4 years, I am also partial to even number days! lol

Re: Leap Day Baby, Yay or Nay?
I think it would be super-cool as a random occurrence, but to plan it for that day...no.
You might think it's an interesting date, but maybe your 5, 6 and 7 year old won't. I'd be worried that my kid would be upset that he won't have a "real" birthday most of his life. It'd be like, 'Thanks a lot Mom...'
Hey, you never know...maybe you'll schedule it for 3/2 and he'll come on the 29th anyway!!

LOL.. my thought too.. knowing my luck that will happen anyway.
Thanks ladies for your thoughts.. I've decided to make it 3/2 and hope I go into labor before that.. I hated the idea of scheduling the cs to begin with but this choice kindof lightened the scenario for me.

Good luck to you! I would have chosen 3/2 too. I can't wrap my head around leap year date - I am very big on calendars, planning, and schedules and how a date doesn't happen each year messes with my head. Of Course if it happens - it has its positives as a birth date too and the most important thing is a healthy baby - congrats - its soon!

I agree on both. I prefer even number days too and have no idea why. Although I will make an exception if this LO is born on St. Patty's day. Lol.

Re: Leap Day Baby, Yay or Nay?
i personally would not want my child to have a leap year birthday and have a day each year to celebrate, so i would go with 3/2
