Re: Letrozole/Femara

That is how I started out when I first started medicated cycles.

Ultimately, I did not respond to it at 2.5mg so we increased it to 5mg and still nothing so I moved to injections. HOWEVER.. Many people DO respond to femara alone!! Chat Icon Hopefully you are one of those people!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon I didn't have any side effects with it.

Thanks for the response. I do ovulate on my own, he just thought he would try this first and see how it goes...we are still not sure of the "issue" yet

Re: Letrozole/Femara

That was my first protocol with Dr. B. I had no follies at my first appointment, then a nice one at my second. I am probably going to do the same protocol again this cycle, and then if the IUI isn't successful, I will move on to injectibles.

I am in the same exact boat as you- I ovulate on my own but this is just a boost to help. I just got my meds yesterday.

That makes 3 of us. Started Femara on Sunday, and start injections tomorrow. Chat Icon

This is the reason I was put on it. I did 5mg for 5 days and had an ultrasound when I had my LH surge.
We were given the option of IUI but DH and I decided to try on our own. I had two good follicles this cycle.
I also did 3 HCG shot on 3dpo, 6dpo, and 9dpo to help with luteal phase support.
I'll know in about a week if it worked.

Re: Letrozole/Femara

I was on Femara with a trigger shot and got pregnant with my twins on our second cycle of it. I didn't have any side effects or anything.
Good luck! Chat Icon

Chat Icon No side effects here either...I am not triggering, but am hoping this is just what we needed
