I guess I am in the minority but I like it and would rather fly from there. It is also easier to get someone to pick me up from there or drop me off than from JFK.
ETA: I fly Delta from LGA so maybe that makes a difference?
I thought the same thing but haven't flown out of LGA in several years because of pricing. When I was a consultant I used to travel via LGA because getting in and out of JFK every week sucked major #%?#%!! I just figured it turned to total sh!t in past few years, but I used to love that airport.
I hate picking up people from JFK and I feel likes it's always under construction but still a mess. In January, I dropped my nephew off at the airport and there were so many leaks from the ceiling.
Idk I just never has good experiences picking up people from JFK.

LGA is a 3rd world country? wow..
We flew into LGA over Christmas break on Delta, and the terminal was a dump. Far cry from flying out of JFK earlier that week.
Nothing beats Islip though, easy peasy flying out of there, and it's nice in there.

Third world country is an exaggeration but compared to JFK, it is a major dump.

can people seriously not sense the sarcasm for dramatic effect, though? I hardly think he is SERIOUSLY comparing it to a 3rd world country...only stating the obvious...that for a tourist location as popular as New York it is lacking.

Surprised he even knows what the airport looks like since he has a private plane...lol. LGA is run down and is not a fabulous airport but I have been in much worse. It is fine to just go sit at the gate, and depart. I don't need a ton of restaurants, I just want to get safely to my destination. But I noticed some commented that it is horrible for international travels to see it, but (and I might be wrong) isn't it only domestic flights? So international travels go through JFK or Newark. Most don't bother with LGA unless they stay in NY first then travel elsewhere in the US. Most international travelers will be going through JFK.
He has a private jet bc he's the vice president.
I'm sure most NY-er's have said the same or worst

I get the sarcasm and think it's funnny.
But to me I don't think it's a dump, idk LGA doesn't bother me. I really hate JFK, I prefer EWR for international.

Thanks I am aware of that. Just laughing because he probably hasn't stepped foot in that airport in years.
I agree it is a dump but I think there are many that need updating. The Lansing airport was worse. I just find it amusing it came from who has a private plane and hasn't probably been in LGA or most US airports in a while made the comment versus say a NY.
Actually most NYs probably call it a dump not third world...lol

I like JFK for the aesthetic but I think LGA is far easier
I really don't care either way. I'm just there to fly out.
My main and only concern is security and safety
I don't need all the bells and whistles.

actually I can't remember the last time I went through laguardia...BUT I CAN'T STAND picking up my mother there. I'll pick her up a thousand times over at JFK...but circling LGA for pickup is like my own personal version of hell.

I have seen airports that are much worse than LGA but compared to some airports overseas that have amenities like beautiful breast feeding lounges, LGA does look like an airport in a third world country.
