LIPA - balanced billing question

I just signed up for this
Do they let you pay a little extra each month?
We are planning to add a dishwasher and a bath fan etc, I don't want to pay out the nose at the end of the year so if I pay an extra 5-10 dollars month to offset that is it a good idea?

I know for us, we paid about $95 extra this month, cause that is how much extra we used for the year. They see what you paid for the full year last year and just take that as an estimate. I am not sure they will let you pay $5 or $10 extra a month. It wouldn't hurt though if they do let you, cause if you end up paying too much, they will give you a credit.
