LIPA Balanced Budget?
How much do you pay per month? Especially if you live in a split level...Want to see if my "offer" from them is too high.

Not a split level but one level ranch, $130/month (this is until Sept. when we get our new bill as it was $110/month before that).

new appliances
All these things make a difference, you can have them come to your house and do a check and they will show you how to save money.
Also, if your budget is over they will give you a credit at the end of the year and lower it for the next year, that happened to us.

nope...no pool...no central a/c....all new appliances...my dh is an electrician..so we do have a ton of high hats and lights!

I live in a splanch.
When I closed last year they offered $101.00.
We had an IG pool.
We then added CAC and High hats / ceiling lights to the top 2 floors.
They increased us 3 times and by the end of our 'year' we were paying $251 for 2 months in order to 'make up' the budget.
Our new budget just started at $151 ---- hopefully it won't be too off over the next 12 months.

Oh, thank goodness. I thought I was a freak. We took the pool down so maybe the bill will drop a little. We have 7 people in our house, plus my mom is here with the baby (and the TV) all day long.

As a matter of fact we just went to a balanced budget today b/c as of May we were in our house a year.
We are at $118 per month and we have a high-ranch.
5brs, 2bths, 2 kits and CAC. (no pool)
We were very impressed and very happy with this!

Cant tell yet... We havent been in the house a full yr... But regardless, whether your monthly pmt is high or low, it's all going to balance out in the end, whether you owe or you dont.... Acual readings are still taken.. Its not like they are estimating and you are being cheated KWIM?

We have 3 adults and 2 kids...I am a SAHM so my tv ends up being on quite a bit too...
We also have a total of 2 frig's and an upright freezer too, not sure what the culprit is

$256. We have CAC (which we keep on all day and night all summer long) and a pool which we keep the filter running all the time.
