Re: Long term damage from Covid
On the other side of the coin many of those complications are also the result of vaccines. Unfortunately this is rarely discussed before getting them. I personally know many people that are vaccine injured. A friend suffered from Guillain-Barre after getting the flu shot, it sent him to the hospital for several months and couldn’t go back to work for almost a year. Another friend’s child started suffering seizures all of a sudden soon after getting a booster. Same goes with autoimmune diseases, strokes, learning disabilities. If u’re concerned about long effects from covid, u might want to look into the side effects/adverse reactions that happen more often than we’re told and then make a full informed decision on what’s best for u. Talking about the covid vaccine, there are already countless of people that have suffered adverse reactions from it, from strokes, paralysis, tic disorders, to even death and this is only in a matter of 2 months. We don’t even know the long damage that it can cause. Pfizer and Moderna obviously can’t give us concrete answers about that since human trials were so short. I’m guessing we'll see the outcome in the population as time progresses. It’s a shame this doesn’t get covered by the media like it should.

Covid could have long term effects, vaccines could have long term effects. Live your life they way you see fit. If that means getting the vaccine go for it. If that means going to an indoor gathering do that.

The media is pushing getting the vaccine so they are not going to say anything bad about it. This is why many of us, 1 out of 4 are not interested in the vaccine right now or maybe ever. I truly hope no one gets anything bad from it but we truly can’t trust something that has not been tested on humans so quickly. Most people take longer to pick a car or phone but this time have no problem putting something in their body that could cause life long effects.

It is important to note that when it comes to vaccines and medications of ANY kind you will always have to weigh the risks to the benefits. There is not a single vaccine or medication out there that hasn't been found to cause an adverse reaction in some people but the good news is usually that subset of people is statistically small but they have to report those instances anyway. The COVID vaccine really is no different in this regard, there will no doubt be people who have an adverse reaction whether minor or severe but in all likelihood, the majority will fare ok. If any drug is found to cause severe adverse reactions in large groups of people, it's taken off the market to protect the public safety.
With regard to the COVID vaccine you have to weigh the risks of the vaccine against the risks of COVID. Whether some want to admit it or not, COVID is a very serous virus to not be taken lightly and it has upended life for everyone across the globe. So we can either accept the risks that go along with the vaccine so that we may protect ourselves and others and return to normal life OR accept the risks that are associated with contracting COVID. Both are a gamble but for myself, I feel better betting on science in this case. I will feel much better returning to normal after I am fully vaccinated.

It is important to note that almost all deaths associated with the COVID vaccine happened in people with underlying health conditions. Not to say this means those deaths are acceptable, but anyone with an underlying health condition should consult their doctor before making any decision on any vaccine. The rate of severe side effects with this vaccine are .0000000003%. It is not "countless", as you claim. It is 2-5 people for every 1 million vaccinated. You have made it well known on this site that you do not believe in any vaccinations. That is your right. But what is terrifying about anti vaxxers is the amount of false information they spew that may change someone's mind without any scientific evidence to back it up. Vaccine injury is real- but it is incredibly rare. Despite what you may think, you have a higher chance of dying from COVID than you from the vaccine- from any vaccine.

Right, and that’s my point. There have been risks with vaccines as well, and it seems that there are risks with the covid vaccine as well based on reports. Anybody can take a quick look at VAERS to see that it’s happening to people, might not be to the majority (thank goodness!) but the risk is there and that’s exactly what people should be hearing as well instead of only the same old rethoric of “safe and effective” and nothing else. Why should it take a person to experience an injury for that person to learn (after the fact) that there was a risk with that vaccine? If pharmaceutical companies have found out in their trials and studies that their covid vaccine is effective at reducing the intensity of symptoms, perfect but they should also tell people the risks that come with it. The public wasn't told this after the trials, and they still have not been told so after reports of people getting injured. There needs to be more transparency. Vaccine hesitation is nothing new, and if pharmaceutical companies and people in power were more transparent, there wouldn’t be as much hesitation as there is now. In order for us to make a full informed decision that it’s good for us and our families, we must know the good AND the bad. That’s all I’m saying.

I understand what you're saying but to be honest, we have been made aware of the possible side effects that they are aware of up to this point. Of course there could be an outlier here or there that exhibits a reaction that they didn't know about or account for but of the reactions they've seen across groups they have been transparent. They told us that after the first dose you will likely feel ok except for maybe a sore arm. They indicated that the second shot could lead to brief flu like symptoms that go away within about 24-48 hrs and that does seem to be the case with most people. Will there will worse adverse reactions from some? Possibly. If that reaction is observed time and time again then those risks will be reported as well. I think they do have to walk a fine line between being transparent about the risks while also not freaking everyone out to the point where they won't get vaccinated.
I am just spit balling here but I think a good indicator of how you'll tolerate the vaccine is to look at your own medical history. For example, I am fully vaccinated and haven't had any reactions to vaccines even as a child. I also tend not to have reactions or side effects of medication. So in all likelihood I probably (hopefully) will be "ok" with the COVID vaccine. Is that a given? Not at all but my medical history gives me the confidence to get the shot and feel like it'll be fine.
Again, it's a personal decision, although I do hope the majority get vaccinated. As I have said, it all comes down to risks vs benefits.

Vaccine injury is not incredibly rare and that’s something that needs to be rectified. It doesn’t happen with every person or the majority of people but it happens more often that what we’re led to believe. Yes, I personally don’t believe in vaccines as they are now. That is my right. Is it also ur right to believe in them if that’s what u choose. Absolutely nothing wrong with that. But I think we should all agree in the importance of full informed consents. This can only be done if we hear ALL the necessary information, not just the good parts. More than not believing in vaccines (cause those are my personal beliefs and would never push them on anyone), I advocate for ‘full’ informed consent and for medical freedom. As I have expressed in this forum, I’m very against mandates especially with vaccines, I believe all individuals should have the right to do what’s best for themselves and their families and that’d never be possible if mandates exist.

Covid could have long term effects, vaccines could have long term effects. Live your life they way you see fit. If that means getting the vaccine go for it. If that means going to an indoor gathering do that.
Breathing the air and drinking the water can have long term side effects. Too much alcohol, too much sugar, too much fat can have long term side effects. If you worry about every single thing that can kill you, you will spend your life in a mental hosptial hiding under a bed. Just do your best. Eat well, take care of yourself, protect yourself, stay home when sick, wash your hands, don't smoke, etc. That's all you can do.

Your first sentence (that you still haven't corrected) says that exactly.
You are stating that the complications everyone has been discussing come from vaccine injury.
You are greatly exaggerating the number of people vaccine injured by drawing on anecdotal evidence.
Your post has been reported as misinformation.

Oh, gotcha. U reported my comment as misinformation which it does not surprise me one bit in the time that we’re living right now.
When I said “complications”, I was referring to the conditions that GoldenRod mentioned in his very first post, like Guillain-Barre, strokes, etc. Those conditions CAN be a result of vaccines as well, nothing to do with having covid. I even mentioned my friend getting GB after getting the flu shot way before covid became a pandemic. A person might get GB due to covid but a person might also get GB due to a vaccine. I never said that someone that HAD covid and ENDED UP with Guillain-Barre for example, was DUE to that same person getting the COVID VACCINE. I also said that there have been reports of people (during these 2 past months) experiencing strokes, Bell’s Palsy, tic disorders after a covid vaccine, u can check VAERS if u wanna “fact-check” me. Again, re-read my comment.
Btw, I’m planning to have 11 people at my home for Easter, u can report me on that too.

Misinformation/off topic/reported
"On the other side of the coin many of those complications are also the result of vaccines."
This is patently false.
There is no evidence that the long term Covid effects people are experiencing come from any type of vaccine.
“Off topic/reported” huh?!?
You’re right one one thing, let me correct it...On the other side of the coin many of those complications CAN also be the result of vaccines.
Regarding to ur last paragraph, when did I say that the long term covid effects people are experiencing come from any type of vaccine? Please re-read my comment.
Your first sentence (that you still haven't corrected) says that exactly.
You are stating that the complications everyone has been discussing come from vaccine injury.
You are greatly exaggerating the number of people vaccine injured by drawing on anecdotal evidence.
Your post has been reported as misinformation.
Who are you reporting these things to? This isn’t fb lol

I'm sure Cuomo has a hotline for that. Just don't let the cops in your home to do a head count and you'll be fine. Ask for a warrant.
