For those of you that knew it was Shannon that died but didn't know how she died or who killed her...
When she ran into the woods, did you expect to hear a gunshot? I did and I can't figure out why because I was SHOCKED to see that Ana Lucia had just shot her. But, knowing she died this episode, and there was all of 45 seconds left in the show, when she ran into the woods, I almost braced myself for the sound of a gunshot. Weird, right? Anyone else?
I'm trying to think back to something that would have made me think that...
Eileen - I did know it was going to be Shannon... and YES in those last moments with her and Sayid, I was SURE I was going to hear a gunshot go off when she ran after Walt ... I *think* I must have heard in the spoilers that she got shot, I just did not know WHO shot her..
I too braced myself for a shot, figuring I KNEW that she was going to die before the epi was over, so how else could that happen so quickly than by gunshot!??
ALSO......... I remember saying to DH when Sayid was chasing after Shannon and Vincent that "this part of the jungle looks so much like the part of the jungle that Ana Lucia et al are walking thru .." so in retrospect, its really not such a shock that Ana shot Shannon.

I AGREE! Its not even the fact that the character of Ana Lucia is a hard azz b*tch that bugs me about her. I have come to realize that its MICHELLE RODRIGUEZ (and her lousy acting) that bug me... she is so bad (IMO)

I also noticed that the doctor said her dad died at the scene, when we heard the time of death in the ER a few episodes ago. Great! Now I wonder if that means anything, or if it was a mistake.
And I think it's interesting that the writer paints the picture that maybe Cindy has to do with the Island's Dharma Project.
It's even MORE interesting that some comments mention that Ana DIDN"T kill Shannon. I guess it's true, just because she's pointing a gun, doesn't mean it was fired. According to Walt, the OTHERS were close, maybe one of THEM shot her? It makes sense, because the sound of the shot DID sound like a rifle. Hmmmmmmmmmm!

Yea, I thought she was effed up, too!!! I mean, W T F! Why would she cut off HIS daughter from HIS money!? She didn't have to give everything to her, but at least SOMETHING to get her started! What a B!TCH!!!!!!!!!
Btw, now I don't feel bad that Shannon used to 'steal' money from Boone, when he'd have to pay off her ex-boyfriends, and she'd share the $ with them!

Nothing happens in this show by chance and we didn't see anything but Ana Lucia with a gun and Shannon on the floor, apparently shot. I was wondering last night if they were going to say it wasn't AL that shot her but I really hope they don't go off on this JFK conspiracy route (there must have been a second shooter). There was only 1 bullet in the gun Ana Lucia had so we'll know in 2 weeks if it definitely wasn't her I guess  .

That theory is running amuck on all the Lost boards... wow, that would be very very interestig/cool if it turns out Ana didn't shoot Shannon..
Here are some screenshots that these LOST nutcases are analyzing.. 
Theory posted: that doesnt look like a gunshot wound, it looks like a stab wound. Maybe someone stabbed shannon and ana lucia was shoting at the real murderer? It could also be an exit wound if ana shot her in the back but it would still be odd that its so long??

What is it Don? You think he's not dead- or that he did it from beyond the grave??
ETA: Either way- I don't think its it. IF it wasn't AL- I think it was the Others or another Ethan or maybe even the missing flight attendant and AL shot the otehr person- but the look on Sayid;s face, and teh look on AL's face is telltale. She looked guilty and he looked furious. He's a former military man, he can tell where bullets are coming from.

I DO think there is something to the theories running around that its not AL (ana lucia) that shot Shannon necessarily. The more I look at the screenshots of her wound, the more it DOES NOT LOOK LIKE A GUNSHOT WOUND
