I have to say- those definitely look like stab wounds.
But guys- don't forget- the Lost writers are not infallible. Didn't Shannon say she was 20? Well, if she was 18 when her dad died- and Jack met his wife 2 years before they got married- then they would have to be divorced or she died within a few months... that's cutting it pretty close

if you listen to ana lucia speak of "the others", she says that the other passengers were "taken" -- not "killed"
and bernard said, "remember what happened to goodwin"
that was that corpse that michael and gin saw
meaning, "the others" can possess people, even DEAD people
hence, the boone theory

I DO think there is something to the theories running around that its not AL (ana lucia) that shot Shannon necessarily. The more I look at the screenshots of her wound, the more it DOES NOT LOOK LIKE A GUNSHOT WOUND

This all makes sense though - when I read the spoilers to find out it was Shannon, they said it was a female (AL still ok) BUT they said we wouldn't find out until the 11/23 episode WHO killed her...
Now I want to see the screen shot of the tailenders/Michael, Jin, Sawyer to see if they're all still there or if someone is missing from that shot...

Don- interesting theory- but I disagree with you. I think when they said taken they meant kidnapped. They specifically referred to Goodwin because he was clearly murdered. I think that distinguished him from the other tailies. Boone was clearly killed- not taken.
The only way I could see that theory working woudl be if Boone's spirit possessed someone else's body... which I highly doubt.

Exactly, everything I read said that we the viewers would NOT know the realy identify of Shannon's killer until a few episodes later.. hence the reason that the more I think about it /read about it, the less likely it seems that AL was her killer?
I saw a screenshot somewhere of Michael, Jin (Maybe not Sawyer, he was out of commission) looking on in the background with AnaLucia holding the gun.. I will try to find it

I agree that it's way too far-fetched. The producers and creators have maintained that everything that happens on this show can be proven by science. This would be pretty difficult to prove.

Besides, Walt's spirit was near there. Maybe he smelled the spirit. What would Walt's smell have to do with Boone's grave? Do you think Boone possesed Walt who stabbed Shannon and disappeared before his dad came?

I dont think that Vincent picked up on ANY SCENT that led him to take Shannon to Boone's grave.. Vincent is not a bloodhound, and besides he was sniffing WALT's stuff , not Boones!
She merely winds up at Boone's grave which brigns her to another flashback ... and then also foreshadows her OWN death

but i do think there is a definite connection between walt and boone
boone dies
walt gets kidnapped, he then becomes possessed and gets in contact with boone's spirit somehow and you have your resurrection

Well unless your possession /resurrection theory comes alive, we've seen the last of both Shannon and Boone .. with them both gone now and us thinking that the only connection to their past is via each other, there is nothing to flashback to them either
