how many times on TV have we seen a character that is supposed to be dead, come back to life? -- happens all the time.
Thats why i say, it would be really predictable for them to do the old "boone's not dead, and he killed" shannon line.
It's been done before.
like i said, i hope the writers are smarter than this, and i believe they are.
but I contend, you can't rule out the vincent-walt-boone's grave tie-in.
ummm... that's pretty hard to do when you are all on an deserted Island together. They showed the body as it was lowered to the ground. Boone would have to be pretty craft to make a dulplicate body of him that could fool all 40 something survivors. It wasn't like a soap opera where there is a hospital or funeral home and something... you actually saw the body go into the ground.
I think people are overanalyzing this too much!!! I think that either AL killed Shannon with the gun, or someone stabbed her and AL killed the stabber. We'll find out in a week and a half. I am interseted to know what happened to the Tailies during their 40 days. Maybe the others in the camp were just kidnapped.... But I can't WAIT to find out the fall out from Shannon's death.
Thank you Shelly for saying what I was trying to say but got frustrated in the process 
Don - I agree, this is TV and 'anything can happen" BUT I'm truly TRULY hoping that the creators/writers of this show resepct the viewers and the intergrity of the writing so far and DO NOT STOOP to such a ridiculous/silly/downright stupid level

1. we saw a coffin being lowered into the ground. Whether or not a body is in there is another story.
2. this is TV -- nothing is based on logic when it comes to TV.
1- I don't think it was a coffin. I thought it was more like a stretcher and was on it. I'll have to check the "previously on Lost" scenes from the last episode.
2. How true.

Its when your 'theory' becomes "truth" .. well then THAT IS STUPID.. because I THINK THE ENTIRE idea would be inconsistent with the show that the creators/writers CLAIMED they were giving us... and I would feel betrayed by the show
